• Planning a trip back to Lehigh this summer or fall? Now’s the time to start planning to meet up with your brothers!

  • As 2015 comes to a close and we are looking forward to a new year, we’re looking for your feedback as alumni and stakeholders of Gamma-Psi Chapter.

Since our loss of chapter recognition last year, we’ve understandably lost the support of many loyal alumni. Yet, we’re taking responsibility for the mistakes our undergraduates made, and our focus remains on ensuring a better future for our chapter. Our question to you is “what needs to be done?”

Is it time for a change? Should we bring in an RA, install cameras, and go dry? These methods have proven successful for other chapters, helping keep undergrads out of trouble and holding them accountable for their actions.

  • During the holiday season, we’re sure you have a list of many worthy organizations to which you’ll make a gift, and we hope Gamma-Psi Chapter makes your list.

Gifts to our annual fund are set aside to support our recolonization when we are eligible.

Your renewed support before December 31 (the end of our giving year) will help us move forward and work towards regaining our credibility as a fraternity that transforms brothers into honest, respectable young men.

  • Thanks to all our alumni who joined us for our alumni tailgate at the Lehigh vs. Lafayette game on November 21. Over 20 brothers, along with their friends and family, were in attendance, and we spent the day enjoying food and beverages and catching up with each other!

We hope to see more of you at future alumni events. Stay tuned to our communications for news of upcoming events!

  • Our giving year is winding down with just two months left to make your gift. Thanks to 29 generous donors, we’ve raised a total of $4,059. Donations to our annual fund will go towards the cost of alumni events, such as our alumni tailgate on November 21, and the cost of recolonization when we are eligible.

View our honor roll to see who’s made their gift.

If you haven’t made your gift yet, will you join these donors to help us reach our goal of $10,000? To help make an impact on the future of Gamma-Psi Chapter and get your name on the honor roll, make a contribution HERE.

  • Please join us on November 21 for an alumni tailgate at the Lehigh vs. Lafayette game. All alumni (along with family & friends) are invited to join us at Goodman Stadium at Lehigh for light food and beverages.

A contribution of $15 per adult (13 & over) is recommended. Checks should be made payable to BGPZ, Inc. Please send your registration and payment to Walt Keiper ’85 by November 16.

Any late registrations can be e-mailed to wkeiper@artsquest.org and payment can be made the day of the event.

Download the REGISTRATION FORMSign in and let us know on our DISCUSSION BOARD if you're coming back for the tailgate!

  • In honor of Veterans Day (Nov. 11), we have begun compiling a list of our Gamma-Psi servicemen and veterans as well as their stories. We have only scratched the surface. We need your help to build our list, tell the stories, and pay tribute to these men who have become TRUE Brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha. The TRUE Brother Initiative stresses our Seven Core Values (Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service & Stewardship, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage). Click below to review the list of our Gamma-Psi heroes and TRUE brothers and to leave your comments.

  • The Gamma-Psi Alumni Association exists to help facilitate lifelong friendship among our alumni brothers and to provide support for our active chapter so that our fraternity positively impact the lives of young men, and maintains a strong legacy at Lehigh. While we do not currently have housing privileges or an active chapter, we are preparing to regain recognition at the university and hope to once again provide support for an honorable group of young men.

How do we do this? Simply, with support from our loyal alumni.

  • Check out these photos from the ’80s, courtesy of Lehigh’s yearbook, Epitome! Can you caption any of these photos? Let us know who’s in them and tell us about the story behind them.

  • On November 21, we’re hosting an alumni tailgate at the Lehigh vs. Lafayette game—a prime opportunity to catch up with your LXA brothers. All alumni are invited to join us at Goodman Stadium at Lehigh for light food and beverages. Friends and family are welcome to attend as well!

  • We recently heard from one of our brothers from the class of 1996 who is looking to connect with Gamma-Psi brothers.

“It would be great to connect with anyone that is still in the Boston area… or who is passing through town for some time.”

Click below to find out which brother it is, read the rest of his update, and to get his contact information!

  • “I can unequivocally say that my experience as chapter president--managing a house budget around the appetites of 50 college guys—was a valuable training ground for leadership and business acumen. Without question I gained tremendous confidence and several close, lifelong friends. And, yes, we had fun. We had parties. We drank beer. We went on dates.

We also respected each other, respected women, respected our university, and respected the ideals on which our fraternity was founded and which, we felt, set us apart.”–KDR Alum

Does any of this remain true today? Chapters across the nation are making headlines for allegations of hazing and sexual assault and are facing suspension or some other disciplinary action. Here are 4 steps to consider to help reclaim the value of fraternities. Let us know what you think!

  • Last month, we heard from Greg Hafeman ’82 in response to our discussion about saving the Gamma-Psi Chapter. He even shared a photo of the Class of 1982! Click below to see what he had to say.

  • We’re looking to hold some alumni events in the coming months. You can help by responding to this short 10-QUESTION SURVEY.

Your responses are critical, as they will help us improve our alumni relations program and help plan events that keep our brothers connected long after their time at the chapter.

  • Of the 724 active and lost members of Gamma-Psi, we need just 76 of you to step up and show your support. So far, with less than five months left in our giving year, we’ve raised just $3,489 from 24 donors. Though we’d love for all of you to help keep the Gamma-Psi spirit alive, we’re asking that just 76 more of you support the chapter for us to reach our goal of 100 donors.

  • “I came into the house as a very naive, green, unsophisticated young man, the first in my family to ever attend college, and emerged much more aware of how the world works. We learned how to push the limits of safety and trust, to work hard and play hard, and we knew that someone had our back. We grew up. Through my amazingly talented classmates, I was initiated into the world of achievers, partyers, and players, in ways that one could not have predicted.”

    –Daniel Grow ’83

  • We don’t have any alumni events planned until our tailgate in November, so we need your help to get a few events on the calendar! Whether it’s in Bethlehem or another location, we can plan a golf outing, a tour, an alumni dinner, you name it.

Send your ideas for alumni events to Anthony Franchina at bgpz.inc@gmail.com or visit the website to post your ideas.

  • Click below to check out photos we found in Lehigh’s yearbook, Epitome! Can you caption any of them?

  • It’s been over a year since our chapter faced Lehigh University Code of Conduct violations. As we wait to return to campus in 2018, we want to hear from you. It’s time to start planning our future. In a time when fraternities across the nation are facing violations and possible probation or termination, it is now more important than ever that we make a solid plan for the coming years at Gamma-Psi. We need your input about what changes to make upon our return to campus. Click below to share your opinion with everyone.

  • Part of the Gamma-Psi experience is about bonding with your brothers, and learning from each other—all while having fun.  So, let’s get down to it.

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received from a fraternity brother?

  • At the Gamma-Psi chapter, our brothers learn invaluable skills that prepare them for the future. Many of our brothers have strove for excellence in professional endeavors, ultimately climbing their way to top. Click below to see which of your brothers have become leaders of their companies!

  • Mark your calendars for the Lehigh-Lafayette game and our alumni tailgate on November 21! Known as THE RIVALRY, the Lehigh-Lafayette football game is the most-played college football rivalry in the nation. It’s a game you won’t want to miss.

We hope to see you there!

Stay tuned for more information in upcoming communications.

  • Are you in one of these photos? If so, we’ve got a challenge for you! Click below if you're up to the challenge!

  • Planning a trip back to Lehigh this summer or fall? Now’s the time to start planning to meet up with your brothers! Bethlehem is teeming with great attractions—likely including many that hold some meaningful and priceless memories from your time at Lambda Chi Alpha. Here are a few things we recommend you do on your trip back.

  • We want to give a big shout out to all of our brothers who made a donation to this year's fund. Thank you all for your generous contributions and continued support. Click below to see a list of this year's donors and to find out how you can show your support as well.

  • Flashback: This month, we thought we’d take a look at an interview with Ronald Small ’65 who was featured in the December 2008 edition of the Gamma-Psider Press. Click below to find out why Ronald joined Lambda Chi and what he's been up to since then.

  • How close are we to our goal? Six months into our giving year, we’re only at $3,389 dollars, with $10,000 as our goal. We’ve received donations from just 23 donors, and our goal is 100. Out of 850 brothers, only 23 of you have shown your support and made the commitment to giving back.

If there is any time to step up and show your support, it is now. Your support is invaluable: it keeps our e-letters coming and keeps our brothers connected. You can pay it forward for current and future Gamma-Psi brothers.

How can you show your support and join your brothers on the honor roll? Donate today to help perpetuate and strengthen our group, ensuring the Gamma-Psi experience is available to future Lehigh students.

  • Ah, college...the good old days!  The college years are said to be the best years of your lives, and this is often the case.  The brothers and friendships that yield from being in a Fraternity are endless and long-lasting.  The times spent with brothers are the most vivid memories of college for many people involved in Greek life.

How do we go about reminiscing? One simple answer – pictures.  Pictures capture all of the great memories we have and are enjoyable to reflect on because they bring all of the memories back to the forefront of our minds.

  • We need your help, alumni! The alumni weekend is fast approaching, but there are several brothers who should be celebrating that we are unable to get into contact with!

Click below to see the full list of our missing brothers. If you have any knowledge of contact information for any of your brothers, please send what you know to our alumni relations office at alumninews@affinityconnection.com so we can reach out to them and share our news!

  • What’s better than returning to the glory days of college and being amongst some of your closest friends?  There are few things that can compare, but Alumni Weekends are always fun and entertaining!  Make your way back to Lehigh campus May 14-18 and catch up with some old friends!  You may stay in touch with some brothers, or maybe even most of them, but this weekend is a time to recapture the good days and catch up with as many Lambda Chi Alpha alumni as possible!  We encourage you to make plans with others and meet up back at Lehigh to kick back and reminisce about the good old days!  To learn more and register to attend, visit this website and then make plans to get together with old friends!

  • This time of year encourages us to take a step back, pause, and take a moment to think about and be thankful for the opportunities we have been given. We want to thank YOU wholeheartedly for your support of Gamma-Psi through all of the ups and downs.

  • We want to preserve all of the memories from Lehigh-Lafayette weekends past, so if you were there this past year or you have been there in previous years, please upload your photos to our website. To upload photos, login to the site, go to the Connect tab, select Photos, and then click the link for Create Photo Album. Or you can upload photos to an existing album.

  • Brothers, here is a picture of the Freshman Cup award trophy. As you can see, it needs a little love and care. Plus, we are missing about 40 names from the classes of 1965 to 1984. Help a brother out!

  • With the active chapter in a state of flux right now, we are taking this opportunity to preserve our history and get it ready for when LXA recolonizes at Lehigh. The timeframe is still to be determined, we’ll keep you posted.

A part of that effort is collecting and framing composites that are either missing the frame, or we are missing the whole composite.

  • It’s just going to be us alumni for the time-being, so we are going to focus more on the alumni experience the next couple of years with more frequent and better communication, alumni events either at Lehigh or regionally, you name it!

  • …and he asks for your ID.

Some of your addresses on your ID are blank! We are missing mailing addresses for only 29 of our living alumni! Help us find the rest, please!

If you know one of the following brothers, and know where they live, we would like to make sure they get the newsletter due out in December! Please send us the mailing address to updatemyinfo@affinityconnection.com.

A few brothers we need to find addresses for include:

    James Knopp ’68
    Edgar De Yoe ’72
    Stu Lerner ’82
    Russ Tietjen ’84
    Adam Speck ‘85
    David Stillman ’94
    Phil Hitchcock ’03

  • In this photo: Lehigh Lafayette 2007

We are looking for Gamma-Psi photos past, present, and future!

One of the best things about being an alum is looking back at photographs of your years with LXA at Lehigh. You might be embarrassed of your clothes or haircut, but the pictures bring back fond memories of the experiences you had. We’re always looking for more photos to add to our collection and share with other alumni! You’ll notice that our photo albums section of the website is pretty bare…so help a brother out!

  • Ah, Thanksgiving. A time celebrated in America by eating way too much food, probably drinking too much, and falling asleep to football. But it also celebrated frequently by saying what exactly we’re thankful for this late autumn. Most people are thankful for their families, their friends, their own health and happiness.

  • The 150th Lehigh-Lafayette game will be held November 22 at Yankee Stadium. Stay tuned to our alumni website for details of our chapter's celebration. Click here for more game day information from Lehigh sports. Catch up with your brothers and enjoy refreshments before supporting your favorite team.

  • Richard Verma '90, a national security expert who has served in the U.S. State Department and the U.S. military and as an adviser to members of Congress, has been nominated by President Obama to be the next U.S. ambassador to India...

  • "I wondered why somebody didn't do something. Then, I realized, I am somebody." Does it matter who said it? No. What matters is that we have those "somebodies" who have chosen to give to our Annual Fund for the very first time this year. Click below to find out who those "somebodies" are and to join them on our Honor Roll.

  • This month, we decided to crack open the vault to some old photos of the past. Amongst embarassing photos and bizarre smiles (this includes several people in togas and Halloween costumes), we found this great photo in the archive!

  • Everyone loves to see the great old pictures we've collected through the years. The fashions, the hairstyles, the houses, the friends are all great moments in time we'll always remember – (or, in the case of indecent moments we've captured, maybe some of us want to forget!).

We need your help to forever preserve the best moments we have from our chapter's history! First, we're looking for contributions to help us restore the composites and trophies that have been adorning the house (or, if you'd like to volunteer to take the lead on this project, let us know). Second, we are seeking more digital images of historic photos to add to our online archives. Take a few moments to go through your old albums, and upload the best shots from your era to our site.

  • If so, we need your help to keep alumni gatherings going strong throughout the period of chapter suspension. It is our goal to maintain a thriving alumni association in the next few years, so we're counting on you now more than ever!

We are looking for volunteers to help keep our program going strong during this time--especially alumni who would like to assist in planning events including a Lambda Chi celebration at this year's milestone Lehigh-Lafayette game at Yankee Stadium.

If you believe in the importance of our sustained alumni chapter and are interested in contributing to its success, please contact Anthony Franchina at Anthony_Franchina@yahoo.com to learn more about volunteer opportunities.

  • By now you likely know that Gamma Psi Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha has lost its recognition and housing privileges with Lehigh, following the university's accreditation review. Due to this fact LXA National has closed our Zeta. This is truly a sad time for our chapter.

Brothers of Gamma-Psi Zeta, Inc. is committed to revitalizing our alumni organization during the period of time the chapter is disbanded. We plan to send frequent communications, host regular alumni events and give you plenty of opportunities to renew your connections with fellow Gamma-Psi brothers. We will also preserve our memories by placing all composites, memorabilia, ritual items and furniture into storage by the end of July.

Our volunteers are working hard to maintain a thriving alumni program and to prepare our organization for a solid future. By the end of the summer, Lambda Chi Alpha Headquarters will have an agreement on file with Lehigh of a time frame for re-colonization. We have been informed by LXA that they will ask for five years. They will also request the same chapter house, but Lehigh will make the final decision. Stay tuned for updates.

The next five years are up to us. Our involvement as alumni will make a big impact on our future, and your financial support is critical to our efforts. Please join me in honoring your commitment to and renewing your involvement with Lambda Chi during this crucial time.

    Thank you,

    Anthony Franchina
    B.G.P.Z. Inc., President

P.S. A note to active brothers reading this letter: According to HQ, you will be placed with a status of Alumni in Bad Standing. This will change to Alumni in Good Standing once you graduate. Please be sure to update your mailing address and other contact information and continue to read our alumni updates so that you can actively participate with our organization upon graduation.

  • We're so thankful to have captured so many great memories from our chapter's history on film – like this picture from a party in the 1950s. We need your help to preserve those moments in time for our archives, and continue to build them with new memorabilia as we begin a new chapter in our history.

Share your best photos and stories in our online albums, which are now equipped with the ability to upload your own pictures to the albums and to comment on others' submissions (please log in first). Thank you for your help in preserving the best moments from Gamma-Psi's history!

  • Following some serious charges brought against Gamma-Psi Chapter by Lehigh University, the chapters took part in a campus trial on Wednesday, May 14. While we were spared expulsion, the chapter has a lot of work to do to satisfy Lehigh's sanctions.

  • By now most of you know that our chapter has had some very serious charges brought against it by Lehigh University.  I want you all to know that we, as an alumni organization, are working with the university and with Lambda Chi Alpha International Headquarters to determine the best course of action for the chapter moving forward.

Click here for a copy of the alumni plan for the chapter, which you should have also recently received via email. If you have any question or concerns please feel free to reach out to me. As always, thank you for your support.

  • On Thursday April 17th at 6pm in the chapter house, we will be initiating the newest members into the Gamma Psi chapter. Twenty-two associate members will be welcomed to the brotherhood.

  • The chapter will be presenting in front of the accreditation board Thursday, April 17th. Gamma-Psi has gone through many ups and downs this year, but over all everyone is confident that the school will see the great steps the chapter has taken to in recent months to better the chapter. Though much of the changes have been internal and organizational, we all believe the chapter is headed for greatness in upcoming years and hope the school sees this too.

  • Congratulations to our undergraduate brothers for achieving the #1 GPA among IFC fraternities at Lehigh for the fall semester. The chapter earned a 3.23444 GPA in the fall 2013 semester with 54 active members, an increase of 0.04973 over the spring 2013 semester.

  • As we revitalize our alumni relations program this year leading up to a big tailgate celebration at Lehigh/Lafayette at Yankee Stadium, we need your help to make sure we can keep all brothers in the loop. Currently, there are more than 500 alumni brothers not receiving our electronic communications because we don't have their email addresses on file.

  • Good news! Gamma-Psi Chapter is off probation with Lambda Chi Alpha and is back in good standing with the University. We have a great group of actives who recently welcomed 23 new Associate Members following spring rush. Watch for more news and information from the active chapter throughout the spring semester.

We are revitalizing our alumni communications program to keep you informed of active chapter activities and opportunities to reconnect with alumni, like at the 150th meeting of the Rivalry on November 22 at Yankee Stadium. Stay tuned to your inbox and mailbox for much more news and information in 2014.

  • Nearly 20 alumni attended the 149th Lehigh-Lafayette Lambda Chi on November 23, 2013. Thank you to all brothers in attendance!

Make plans to tailgate with us at the 150th meeting of the Rivalry at Yankee Stadium on November 22, 2014. Stay tuned for more information.

  • Succesful clothing company "Urban Outfitters" co-founder Scott Belair, Lehigh U ’69, is giving his alma mater a $20 million grant (with more to come, apparently) to create a sort of satellite campus or ”innovation incubator” on top of a hill where students will roam around dreaming up genius ways to change the world, with little to no guidance from anyone else. The new program is aptly named ”The Mountaintop Project.”

  • Students dressed in black and white formal attire with duct-taped mouths walked through campus on Friday, October 4 to protest their unheard voices as members of the Lehigh community. Their quiet protest left many scratching their heads and searching for solutions to a murky problem: social divisions on campus.

  • It's the most wonderful time of the year again – Rush! Our young actives have been busy bestowing upon prospects the many benefits of Greek life. Have you ever wondered why it's so great to join the Greek community?

  • By now, our freshmen have already arrived on campus for what will likely become the most important four years of their lives. The choices these young adults make as they select their friends, community, and fraternity helps to shape their future and can lead to a very fulfilling college experience that is felt long after graduation.

  • Bethlehem’s commercial officials and Lehigh administrators attempt to lure students off campus and into their South Side businesses with a new event, Faux Friday, following similar successful events in the past.

  • With nearly 70% of all Congressmen and senators belonging to Greek organizations, the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC) is rallying to gain their support for a tax break bill that would mean massive changes for every Greek organization. However, recent negative media coverage of the legislation threatens to derail FSPAC efforts so far.

  • We hope these two photos of Lambda Chi House Parties in Spring 1953 will evoke memories from our senior alumni members. We do not know the identities of anyone in the 50+ year old photos. The photos were sent to us by Daniel Patton of Dallas, TX ('79 - Indiana Univ. of PA). His mother, Mary Jane (Zehner) Patton is shown in each photo with the same brother, but we don't know the identity of the brother. Mary Jane lived on Main Street in Bethlehem, was a 1948 graduate of Bethlehem High School and we believe was a Phi Mu from Moravian College. After college, she married and moved to West Chester, PA where she lived the rest of her life, passing away in 1991.

Her son Dan wrote, "Friends tell me I am crazy to give away these photos, but I don't agree. My mother, who graduated from Moravian in 1952, is in each of the photos and although I cherish all photos of her, I truly feel these will be much more appreciated at Lambda Chi than packed away in a box in my home. Maybe these pictures are a dime a dozen, but I hope they can be enjoyed by the people who are in them."

Dan, from all of us at Lambda Chi, we thank you for taking the time to find us and return the photos for our archives. They will most certainly elicit very fond memories of years gone by. Dan also sent additional photos from 1952. We will be posting all the pictures on our website at www.lxalehigh.com.

If you can identify any of the brothers or guests in these pictures, please contact Walt Keiper, '85 at wkeiper@fest.org.

  • Yes, Lehigh does allow you to earmark all or a portion of your annual fund contribution to the Lambda Chi Alpha PLA (Provided for Living Accommodation) Account. These funds can be used, with alumni approval, for special chapter house projects, furnishing, and now even scholarship programs. You can help our chapter remain competitive on campus by helping us to build this fund; just make a note on your contribution to earmark a portion to the Lambda Chi Alpha PLA account. Thank you for your support!

  • June 2006
Lambda Chi Alpha's 51st General Assembly will be held on July 20-23, 2006 in the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Florida. The General Assembly is Lambda Chi Alpha's legislative body and biannual conference, where undergraduates and alumni determine the laws and policies of the Fraternity and elect members of the Grand High Zeta. At the conference, we will also cover virtually every area of chapter operations—leadership development, ritualism, recruitment, motivation, standards, member involvement, Fraternity education and more! We are also offering Impact Leadership and our Advisors College as a pre-conference to the General Assembly.

Tailgate, tail-gate, noun. definition: the perfect chance for you to spend time with brothers, eat great food, drink beer and watch a football game

  • Rush this year, along with many other aspects of Greek life, has been a new learning experience. The traditional schedule of Rush during the fall semester was changed to what is known as deferred Rush. The fall semester served as a recruitment time for Greek life in general. Recruitment for individual houses did not begin until the spring semester, and it only lasted for four weeks. This change created many new obstacles, but it also provided a very exciting and fast-paced month.

  • The Gamma Psi chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha has continually made efforts to maintain the high standard of community service and philanthropy that has been passed on throughout the years. The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha have remained active at the local Boys and Girls Club, and each brother volunteers a few hours each semester to help the children with homework, as well as play sports such as basketball or dodgeball. In addition, we recently cosponsored, with the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega, a tsunami relief event. Using the services of Datamatch, students were able to fill out a compatibility survey that matched them with fellow students. Proceeds from this event are being donated to the International Red Cross Relief fund. The Gamma Psi chapter at Lehigh continues to look for more opportunities for community service, and any suggestions concerning philanthropy can be directed to our High Beta, Greg Solarz at gjs5@lehigh.edu.

  • Lambda Chi Alpha at Lehigh University continues to take an active role in the community. Earlier this year, 25 brothers participated in a walk to benefit ALS research. We were able to raise a substantial amount of money for this cause through personal and local business donations. Soon, we will participate throughout the Lehigh Valley in Lambda Chi Alpha's national food drive. This year's goal is 8,500 pounds as a chapter and 3 million pounds internationally. If we reach this goal it will be the world's largest single day fraternity philanthropy event!

  • The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha obtained the highest GPA (3.15) of any fraternity at Lehigh University this past spring semester. The All-Fraternity average was 2.95. In addition to being number one among fraternities, Lambda Chi Alpha was higher than the All-Undergraduate Average (2.99), the All-Greek Average (3.07) and the All-Men Average (2.98). This academic success is attributable in large part to the ability to study together and respect housemates' need for peace and quiet on certain nights.

  • Our chapter had a Spring GPA of 3.052, which placed us second out of 25 fraternities on campus. Lambda Chi Alpha beat the All Fraternity, All Men, All Greek, All Undergraduate and All Women GPA's! Congratulations! We are proud to note that our chapter has been in the top five GPA category for the last three years.

  • This spring, many brothers continued their involvement in various campus organizations, such as student senate, executive tour guides for Lehigh, gryphons for M&M and Dravo house, tutoring, assisting students with network problems through Lehigh's WIRED group, treasurer of JIFC, Greek Week Committee, lacrosse, rugby, soccer and University Productions.

  • June 2006
Undergrads are busy this summer with international travel, jobs and internships. Several brothers will also be staying at Lehigh to take summer classes. Specific plans include:

  • October 2006
With a bronze rating during its previous year, the Gamma Psi Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha knew that it wanted better for the 2005-2006 school year. The accreditation process is a system developed by Lehigh University to measure the performance, strength and development of Greek member houses. All houses are evaluated on the basis of scholarship, leadership, citizenship, partnership, and stewardship. Last year was the second year that the accreditation system was in effect at Lehigh, and Lambda Chi proved it had learned a lot from its previous experience.
The 2005-2006 school year was one that was filled with countless programming, philanthropy and scholarly events. The brothers worked both independently and partnered with other organizations to develop many community-building and service programs. At the culmination of the academic year, the fraternity was responsible for developing a binder documenting the entire year and presenting in front of a panel of university officials and peers. Every member put in an incredible amount of work which ultimately resulted in a 200+ page summary of the entire year.

  • Beat the winter blues and visit Lehigh this winter for a basketball game. All of the information you will need to know for the 2006-2007 season from where to get tickets to what to expect for the season is provided in below. Click here to download these documents.

  • Two Lehigh fraternities will be leaving the "Hill" this month. Alpha Chi Rho, "Crow", has lost its house after three consecutive semesters below 90% occupancy, and even after a "grace semester" to make 90%. Crow will be a non-residential fraternity going forward. There is a possibility of further action against Crow since the LU Greek Affairs is investigating whether there was some falsification of membership information at the end of last semester. Another fraternity, Kappa Sigma, has had its local charter revoked by their national fraternity. Kappa Sigma will no longer be recognized as an active fraternity at Lehigh.

The loss of these two long time houses on the "Hill" is a wake up call to the entire Greek system. It is so important to stay connected to the men at LXA. Your continued support enables our fraternity to continue to grow and prosper. Hopefully the alumni and brothers of Kappa Sig and Crow will be able to try to restore their positions in the future.

  • Brothers,

  • Lambda Chi Alpha has had a successful Fall 2007 semester and is looking forward to the new year and the upcoming recruitment period. During this Fall semester, our chapter has been active in a number of different clubs and organizations and has made a great effort to contribute to the overall campus climate at Lehigh. Within chapter programming, we participated in a number of events in order to maintain positive relations with Lehigh and with the greater community surrounding the university. In particular, we are especially enthusiastic about our Faculty Appreciation Dinner that occurred at the end of the semester and was a great success. In terms of philanthropic activity, this semester we participated in the 2007 Walk to D'Feet ALS of Bethlehem, the Lambda Chi Alpha International Fraternity's North American Food Drive, as well as contributed in sponsoring to a number of other organizations' philanthropic events. As a chapter this year, Lambda Chi Alpha has picked up speed and is anticipating next semester to be a very successful one with a number of great events already in the works. Stay tuned.

  • Exams are over, the boxes are packed, and the cap and gown is pressed and ready for the big event. Graduation day is such a bittersweet moment in our lives, as we say goodbye to the youth and vitality of college life, and usher in a new era in our lives: full-blown adulthood. Think back to your own time and tell us a story about your graduation day. How did you spend your final days as an undergraduate member of Lambda Chi? Were there any last hurrahs or memorable moments with brothers that especially stand out?

  • Brothers: the online presence of Lambda Chi Alpa is weak! The Alumni Facebook Page is in a woeful state of neglect! It seems that we only have three "likes" on Facebook! And our alumni website (www.lxalehigh.com) isn't any better, either.

In a fast-paced world that relies on technology to stay connected, our website and social media platforms like Facebook are great ways to share your updates and thoughts with brothers quickly. Want to post a picture, too? It's easy to do!

So what is it, you ask? Three words: kicking dance moves.
